About Us
Barkley’s Pets has been proudly serving the area for around 9 months and already has 50+ active clients with a waiting list of dogs eager to join our walks. We’re not your average neighborhood dog walking service — we do offer neighborhood walks but we also take dogs on enriching, mentally stimulating walks at the Arnold Arboretum, away from traffic, buses, bikes, and crowded sidewalks. Our focus is safe, structured, and social group walks that dogs truly love.
What We’re Looking For
Someone who lives in or knows West Roxbury and Roslindale well (JP is a plus)
Previous dog walking or pet care experience required
Fluent in English
Reliable car required (transporting dogs to and from the Arboretum)
Comfortable handling 1–2 dogs per walk and small group outings
Dependable, punctual, and confident around dogs of different personalities
Someone interested in long-term growth in the pet care industry
The Position
Start with 4–6 dogs per shift
Opportunity to grow to 8–10 dogs per day
Walks may include solo or paired dogs, plus group park outings
Pet sitting opportunities available for additional income
100% of tips go directly to the walker
You’ll be covered under our insurance policy
