Who We’re Looking For:
Strength & Stamina: You can lift heavy furniture and boxes safely and don’t mind breaking a sweat. This is a physical job – consider it a free workout!
Positive Attitude: Charisma and motivation are a must. You’re polite, friendly, and professional with clients and teammates. If you can lift a sofa with a smile, you’re our kind of person!
Reliability: You show up on time, every time. Boston’s high-end customers expect punctual, dependable service, and so do we.
Team Player: Moving is a team sport. You communicate well and work together with the crew to tackle challenges. A sense of humor helps when navigating tight staircases or Boston traffic!
Willingness to Learn: Experience as a mover is a plus, but not required. Maybe you’ve worked construction, landscaping, or played college sports – any physical, team-oriented experience helps. If you have the right attitude, we’ll teach you the rest.
Transportation: Having a car is preferred (not mandatory) so you can easily get to our warehouse or job sites around the city. If you can reliably commute in/around Boston (T, bike, etc.), that works too. Valid driver’s license is required.
Flexibility: Okay with part-time hours to start. We’ll ramp up your hours as summer approaches and our bookings explode. (If you’re only free a few days a week now, that’s fine – more work will be available soon!)
What You’ll Do:
Careful Moving: Load, transport, and unload clients’ belongings with care and efficiency. Whether it’s a few boxes or an entire apartment, you treat everything like it’s priceless (because sometimes it is!).
Customer Service: Provide a friendly, professional experience for our clients. You’ll be the face of LAIONA – greeting customers, answering basic questions, and ensuring they feel at ease. High-end clientele appreciate movers who are personable and respectful.
Teamwork: Work alongside a partner or small team on each job. Help plan the truck loading, navigate to the destination, and solve problems on the fly (you’d be surprised how creative you get fitting a couch through a narrow doorway!).
Safety & Efficiency: Follow our training for lifting techniques and packing methods so both you and the items stay safe. We value doing the job right over rushing – but you’ll learn to be quick and careful.
Represent Our Brand: Wear our company gear, keep the van clean, and project a positive image. We’re building a reputation as Boston’s best luxury movers, and that starts with you.
