The Registered Dietitian provides clinical nutrition and dietary plans under the supervision of Director of Ambulory Nutrition Services.

This is a Per Diem position on-site, hybrid or virtual.

Pay: $31.73-$47.00/hour depending on educion and experience

• Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care
• Provide Nutrition assessments to all pients and accurely and thoroughly document nutritional assessment and pient issues using approprie clinical terminology.
• Perform individual and group nutrition therapy.
• Provide meal plan/guide outlines and work with pients towards nutrition rehabilition. 
• Participe in trement team planning and discharge planning.
• Provide effective nutrition educion to pients and families.
• Communice progress and activities reled to trement and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the pient, family, trement team, referral source and other individuals involved in the pient’s care.
• Supervise breakfast, lunch and snacks while providing meal coaching to clients, as needed.

Educion:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition

Experience:

• Experience providing direct nutritional care in an Eing Disorder Service and Mental Health setting, preferred
• Experience with menu planning and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting, required

 Licensure/Certificion:

• Licensed Dietitian with the ste of MA
• Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Registrion from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
• CPR Certificion

Knowledge:

• Medical nutrition therapy
• Motivional interviewing
• Nutrition care process
• Nutrition counseling
• Group educion

 Required competencies:

• Strong organizional and communicion skills
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize independently
• Ability to multi-task in a changing and fast paced mental health environment
• Ability to work in a highly collabore, multidisciplinary team environment
• Ability to communice verbally and in writing.

Supervision Received:

• Monthly RD group supervision and individual supervision with the coordinor of nutrition services and senior nutrition consultant.
