This "singing" water can pays homage to Medieval sprinkling pots. Used from the 5th to the 15th centuries (400 CE - 1500 CE), sprinkling pots were reduced airborne dust, by dampening indoor & outdoor surfaces - stone or brick patios or courtyards, cobblestone & slate forecourts, gravel paths, & so on.
Handcast in France, this modern terra-cotta replica “sings” from the top opening, when filled - immerse it in a bucket or sink, & water enters from the bottom. Put your THUMB over the top opening, that creates a vacuum, & keeps the water in the pot. Hold it over the potted plant or flower bed (or dusty sidewalk), LIFT YOUR THUMB, & a gentle shower falls thru the "sieve" at the bottom.
