This coffee table, model, MP 97, was designed and produced by Percival Lafer, in Brazil, during the 1970's. It has a simple structure in solid rosewood and the top in smoked glass. In original and good vintage condition. Architect and designer Percival Lafer believed that instead of idealizing design, often conceived as art, a piece could only be considered really relevant if it pleased the public, not just the creator.

Stamped "Made in Brazil" on each piece. Sculpted solid Brazilian rosewood base with deep rich red patina. The smoked glass looks great and only has a few minor scratches. The frames are tastefully complimented by the chrome metal hardware. The lower height perfectly compliments vintage Danish sofas.
