Premium (TileTech) Ipe Wood Parquet Pedestal Deck for Sale. Ideal for sloping grades or roof top (If you provide a telephone number I'm happy to discuss w/you about this and my positive experience with this type of deck.)
This type of deck is ideal for a sloping roof top patio although it can also be used pretty much anywhere in your yard where you might have a gradual slope or level surface. The pedestal technology of the TileTech System allows you to keep the surface of the deck level. TileTech is well known in the industry as a premier supplier of roof top pedestal decks. (Note: I do not, nor have I ever have worked for TileTech.)
There are 72 Ipe wood parquets 2’ x 2’ in size. Ipe, also known as ironwood, is a very dense grained wood from tropical South America. It has been considered as a 50-year product with proper care. Each 2’ x 2’ parquet weighs ~25 lbs, so just a bit more than 6 lbs./square foot. These components will cover ~288 sq ft. Because it is ‘modular’, there are other potential length and width configurations you might choose for the final dimensions of your deck.
Left to naturally age this wood should end up with a nice gray patina. If oiled it could turn into a dark, almost rich mahogany color.
Pick up would be in Mashpee, MA. You would need a vehicle/truck/trailer and tie downs with the capacity to tow over 1,800 pounds*. (72 parquets x 25 lbs/parquet = 1,800 lbs plus the additional weight of the components to make the pedestals and any other miscellaneous items.) *Or in multiple shifts.
Aside from the beauty of the natural Iron Wood, the nice thing about this deck is that it’s modular and portable.
Without any prior personal experience with this type of deck the assembly took me only three days. Disassembly took me only one day. Skill with a miter saw, a level and a screw driver will help you to assemble this deck. Although I won’t put it together for you, I am willing to offer some guidance as to how to go about putting it together. I was surprised as to how easy it was for me to assemble.
Additionally, I can include three 8’ x 10” beveled mahogany boards which I used as part of the ‘skirt’ on the front end of my deck. The value of those three boards alone is $250. Aside from the above components I also have a set of helpful screws to include.
It’s a very high-quality product. TileTech Pedestal Decks are well known in the industry for pedestal decks because of the quality of their products and the ingenious pedestal design.
Besides the above, you will need to purchase several pieces of SDR35 Green PVC Pipe as a component of the pedestals in order to make the necessary heights. (See in process assembly image.) These can be purchased at Lowes. Depending on the height of your deck and the slope of your patio. I recall that I used 5 or 6 of them for my deck.
Current list price for the components $5950. Everything I have is yours for $2,995. I’ll also do my best to help you load it onto your truck/trailer.
Feel free to contact me and I can discuss more details and answer any questions you may have.
Any sale would be final. Cash only.
