Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema was a much sought after painter in the Victorian era. In the category of Dutch Romanticism and Neo-Classical, Alma-Tadema's beautiful and detailed paintings often highlighted the daily life of Ancient Rome.
This wall mural is a representation of his classic painting, "A Favorite Custom", which depicts the Stabian Baths in Pompeii in ancient Rome.
My mother, who was an interior designer of Kitchens and Baths, specially ordered and planned to use this as a wall mural in a Neo-Classical- themed bathroom.
Sadly, it never ended up happening, and so- this is still brand new- and it has never been used!
Dimensions are 93" inches tall x 48" wide.
Its an amazing and powerful image in such a large form, at almost 8 ft tall!
The cost of this originally must have been close to $300, but- for the 'think outside the box' artists and designers out there- :)
I am just asking $25/cash.
