*LIFEGUARD*
Shifts vary, but may include nights, and weekends.
Starting at $13/hour

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of everyone in the pool during the shift.
- Scan pool in a continuous and consistent manner.
- Perform rescues, first aid, and CPR as needed.
- Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the YMCA mission and goals at all times.
- Ensure a clean and safe pool environment at all times.
- Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand each individual's goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
- Enforce pool rules. Handle issues as they arise in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clear and consistent line of communication with all supervisors.
- All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
At least 16 years of age.
ARC Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR certifications.

Physical Demands:
- Physically and verbally able to interact with members and staff.
- Must be able to scan the pool visually.
- May be required to sit or stand for extended period of time.
- At times, be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


*SWIM COACH*
Different hours needed. Hours may vary, but may include mornings, nights, and weekends.
Starting at $12/hr

Responsibilities:
- To instruct swimmers in the skills appropriate in their class in accordance with the National YMCA standards and those set by the WSYMCA.

Requirements:
At least 16 years of age.
ARC Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR certifications.
ARC Water Safety Instructor highly preferred.
USA Coaches Certifications preferred.
Knowledge of swimming strokes and techniques, competitive swimming and general water safety.

*SWIM INSTRUCTOR*
Different hours needed. Hours may vary, but may include mornings, nights, and weekends.
Starting at $12/hr

Responsibilities:
- To instruct swimmers in the skills appropriate in their class in accordance with the National YMCA standards and those set by the WSYMCA.

Requirements:
A minimum of 15 years of age.
ARC Lifeguard/First Aid and CPR certifications.
ARC Water Safety Instructor preferred.
Knowledge of swimming strokes and techniques, competitive swimming and general water safety.
