This is tested, fully functional, and in excellent cosmetic condition. The original Denon Remote is included. This pre dates HDMI, but it will work for dolby surround with optical or digital input. This also functions as a great sounding, powerful stereo music receiver. This is one of the better Korean manufactured units,.. not one of the inferior Chinese Denon. This has phono input .
The Denon AVR-1803 is a 6.1-channel home theater receiver introduced around 2002. In its day, it was considered one of the better entry-to-mid-level Denon receivers and is still respected for its solid amplifier section and good two-channel sound.

The AVR-1803 is one of those receivers that sounds better than its modest rating suggests. Denon used a good power supply and discrete output stages, so it has a warm, full presentation compared with many mass-market receivers from Sony, Pioneer, and Kenwood of the same era.
For 2-channel stereo listening, many people still use these today with vintage speakers because the amplifier section is surprisingly capable.
