The cd player is perfect,.. does not skip. The cassette player is also perfect,.. it has as auto reverse,.. and it sounds great. I cleaned the tape heads with alcohol swab. The unit has been in a smoke free environment. The speakers have a beautiful cherry wood base.
Proton was made and design by Foulet industries, a Taiwanese manufacturer which also made and design the NAD audio components . Lots of raves regarding Proton table radios on the web. This is louder and better sounding than the Proton table radio units.,,. and it is only slightly larger. Also, with separate speakers,.. it allows you to spread out the sound throughput your room for superb stereo imaging. This is a very good value for the money on components that focused on sound quality rather than gadgets
I am also including all cables. No remote is included.
Please note that the fluorescent display is a little dim . This is 20+ years old,.. and a dim display is typical of these units.
Otherwise, this is one of the nicest looking and sounding, fully functional AI-3200 units out there.
