This is a non functioning classic Lafayette LR-5555 receiver. This is a silver face 1970's Japan made model. It does not work. The output is very low, and it barely makes any noise, even when cranked up to ten. Otherwise, this is in nice cosmetic shape, The lights are all good. I spray cleaned all the dials and switches, hoping I could get this to work, but that did not work. I checked the internal fuse, and that is not the issue either, as the only fuse within is good. I'm thinking it could be a relay or a power supply issue.
If you know these receivers, you know that they were quality built by Rotel in Japan for Lafayette. They are similar to the Rotel RX series, When working, an LR-5555 typically sells for $250 to $300 online. This is being sold for much less due to the lack of functionality. Sold for parts / salvage/ repair.
