Back Bay hostess seeking experienced weekend chef/server for small dinner parties.
I am a private hostess in Back Bay looking for an experienced chef/server to help with small Friday/Saturday evening dinner parties in my home, typically 6 - 10 guests.
Responsibilities include:
Light meal prep (chopping, simple prep of chicken or fish, reheating or finishing some prepared items)
Cooking and plating a set menu
Working in a home kitchen and coordinating timing with the hostess
Pouring wine and refreshing drinks throughout the evening
Serving plated courses and clearing between courses
Clean up of dining area, glassware, and dishes at the end of the evening
Schedule: Mostly Friday evenings and/or Saturday evenings
Prep time usually begins at 5 or 5:30 PM - guests arrive at 7:00 PM evening usually finishes at 11 - 11:30 PM (exact times may vary by the dinner)
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate or flat fee per evening. Paid in cash or Zelle at the end of each evening.
Environment: Calm, respectful, non-smoking household; small well mannered groups.
Requirements: Prior restaurant, private chef, catering or fine dining experience
Professional, reliable, and comfortable in an upscale home environment
Able to provide at least one recent reference
Should have a polished, warm presence with strong attention to detail
