The Project:
I am looking for a creative professional (or a highly experienced hobbyist) to help me design and set up a permanent filming space in my basement in NEEDHAM, MA for a YouTube channel. I have the space; I need your eyes and technical expertise to make it look high-end.
Note: I am NOT looking for an electrician or a home renovator. I am looking for someone who understands three-point lighting, set aesthetics, and video production.
What I need help with:
Lighting Design: Placing lights to create depth and eliminate the "basement dungeon" look (Key, Fill, and Hair lights).
Set Dressing: Advice on background placement, cable management, and "vibe" (LED accents, textures, etc.).
Acoustics: Identifying and fixing any echo/sound issues common in basements.
Tech Optimization: Ensuring my camera settings and audio interface are dialed in for the space.
Requirements:
Experience with videography, film production, or high-level content creation.
Must have a portfolio or photos of previous setups (your own or for clients).
Knowledge of budget-friendly vs. pro-level gear (I’m looking for the best "bang for my buck").
Compensation: Flat fee or hourly (please include your rate in your reply).
