No plans for New Year's Eve. Have suggestions? (Cambridge)

I'm an older guy with no plans for New Year's Eve. In the past, I ordered Chinese food, but it would be delivered much later than expected and would arrive cold and soggy. I don't cook, don't eat alone in a restaurant and I don't want to welcome in the New Year with a frozen pizza. More important, I prefer not to spend the night alone. That's why I turn to you for suggestions. Maybe you're in the same situation and would like to get together for dinner and whatever we feel like doing after. Thanks for reading this.
