This position will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our warehouse, delivery and facility maintenance operations. It incorporates accuracy and diligence with inventory management, receiving, shipping, safety compliance and customer service.

Duties include, but are not limited to:


• Manage all warehouse and CDL driver personnel.

• Schedule and manage incoming vendor material trucks and outgoing customer deliveries.

• Ensure prompt service and order fulfillment accuracy to customer orders picked up in our yard, delivered by our trucks or shipped via 3rd party freight carrier.

• Manage warehouse and yard storage inventory control processes insuring product security, accountability and fulfillment accuracy. Expedite shortages and backorders when required.

• Maintain clean and safe distribution facility including warehouse, outside storage areas, parking areas and fleet trucks/equipment.

• Perform Cycle Counts, spot security checks and yearly physical inventory. Product knowledge, UOM accuracy and attention to detail required.

• Purchasing of commodity products and supplies as assigned.

• Schedule and manage inter-company stock transfers with other warehouses.

• Manage truck and forklift maintenance. Mechanical knowledge of trucks, forklifts and frontend loader necessary.

• Manage and ensure all required employee safety training, licenses, endorsements and certifications required to perform positions are completed and up to date.

• Recruit, interview, hire and manage new employees. Conduct monthly safety and training meetings.

• Remain current to all DOT and OSHA safety requirements and objectives including all reporting requirements are performed.

Manage facility and grounds for repairs, upkeep and security.

• Improve and streamline processes to increase efficiencies.

• Work collaboratively with all departments as an excellent communicator requiring computer literacy with Microsoft Suite, CRM and Distribution applications.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 3-6 successful years in fast paced sales - warehouse management environment including overseeing shipping, receiving and delivery.
• Construction products knowledge a plus
• Forklift and Class 7 and 8 truck operation and maintenance knowledge.
• OSHA and DOT State and Federal requirement knowledge and application
• Valid Drivers License and clean RMV record
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and warehouse/distribution application. Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Mechanically and problem solving inclined
• Customer centric oriented
• Ability to prioritize and execute schedule and tasks required of self and staff
• College degree preferred

Physical Requirements

• Agile; work on feet majority of the day whenever necessary to manage department
• Ability to climb stairs/ladder or to back of flatbed truck if necessary, lift 60 lbs on occasion.
• Ability to operate forklift and perform forklift certification
