Small economic consulting firm is offering a part time, six month, paid internship. The intern will take on a role as both research assistant and office assistant, and will receive training, be actively engaged in consulting projects, and learn about running a small business.

No cover letters, but your covering email should briefly describe the last regression analysis you performed--provide some detail on the research objective, available data, functional form, and what the results looked like. If you have not run a regression or do not understand what that is, this job is not for you.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Research Assistant: online and library research; data collection/entry; statistical analysis; preparation of spreadsheets, tables and charts; maintenance of documents and records and organizing work product.
Office Assistant: filing/scanning; typing, editing, proofreading and copying documents; scheduling; answering phones; making travel arrangements; office clean-up and running errands as needed.
You must have: a completed college degree in economics -- preference for those that have or are pursuing an MA/PhD in econ or an MBA or related field (think statistics and data analytics); logic and debate skills; excellent computer skills, including STATA, Word and Excel, (web/HTML, internet research a plus) and ability to learn new programs as needed; excellent written/oral communications skills; attention to detail; and a clear and professional phone manner.
This is a six-month, paid internship that could become permanent for the right candidate. Flexible schedule during business hours.
