I Purchased this Pinarello Monviso frame and full set of Campagnolo Record componets in 1997 and assembled everything that year. The stem and handlebars are Cinelli. My guess is that the bicycle has been ridden less than 200 miles.
The tires are Vitoria silk tubulars (current front is a cotton Wolber, and the rims are F.i.R. The only substandard part on the bike is the San Maro seat. I tried a number of seats and this one was the most comfortable for me
The frame is 23 inches and the bike is in absolute pristine condition with the exception of the unavoidable scuffs on the pedals from clipping in and out. Included are a pair of new Vittoria silk tubular tires (the Vittoria rear that is on the bike now has a slow leak - I think), and a set of new Campagnolo handlebar-end shifters that I never installed. I also have a longer Cinelli stem. as well and some "Campy tools."
The rear derailleur is indexed to the down-tube shifter. At that time the front derailleur was not of the indexing type.
I am aware that this is a lot of money for what many might considered to be an out date bicycle. New technology aside, I think the crispness and precsion of of this bicycle matches anything being made today. And the beauty speaks for itself. Please, do not make a low offer, the bike is worth too much to me to sell it for less. I will keep it if no one has an interest.
