Fully rideable rare bicycle from the mid 1910s or early 1920s! This frame is literally older than sliced bread and still wears its original paint, pinstriping, and patina proudly. It’s set up as a fixie / track bike with a Major style stem that looks handmade by an enthusiast over half a century ago. I’ll include an intact period stem with the bike.
Several other period parts come with it for serious buyers including a kerosene lamp, wood rims (both in one piece but are for display purposes only), stem, skiptooth chains and two horsehair Troxel saddles in as-found and restorable condition, along with other parts and frames from the same era. The larger of the two Troxel saddles is rideable in the condition it is in!
Ride it through Boston like I have, or swap the modern wheels out and display it as a piece of cycling history! Don’t wait, bikes like this do not come around often.
Yes, I know what isn’t period correct, and if you prefer original parts, plenty come with it!
Cash preferred but partial trades for old banjo / banjos considered. May deliver to Boston Area for small fee.
