I am selling my barely used Surly Straggler in excellent condition. It’s an all-purpose bike that you can use as a commuter, a mountain bike, or even a light touring bike. Like all Surly bikes, this is made of steel and will last for decades. The Straggler is based on Surly’s Cross Check frame, with the main difference being that the Straggler has disc brakes and horizontal rear dropouts.
Components on the bike:
* Surly Straggler 650b frame [gloss black color; 42 cm size; fits 600cc tires; bought in 2008] (MSRP: $649)
* Shimano Tiagra 4700 Road Groupset [grey; 2 x 10 speed; hydraulic disc brake] (MSRP: $615)
* Shimano Tiagra 4700 Crankset [grey; 2 x 10 speed] (MSRP: $109)

If you’ve never ridden a Surly bike before, you’re in for a treat. Check out the thorough review of the Straggler here: https://the47thstar.wordpress.com/2016/11/22/my-new-car-the-surly-straggler/
From the Surly website description (https://surlybikes.com/products/straggler-650b-frameset-black):
The Straggler is tuned for cross-over exploration on a wide variety of terrain conditions. It’s a day-tripper and a weekender. It’s a “rough road” road bike, a cyclocross bike with no pretense about racing, a utilitarian townie, a light-duty touring bike and an all-weather commuter. It’s a steel gravel bicycle that thrives on the road. Think of it as a “mountain biker’s road bike.” If you only have room for one bike in your life, Straggler can (and should) be your one and only.
Straggler’s capabilities go well beyond asphalt. It also lends itself well to light touring setups. We're talking frame bags, seat bags, and "credit card touring” rather than full-blown touring. Straggler also handles our 8- and 24-Pack Racks well, so you have some heavier-duty loading options.
- Accommodations for racks and fenders
- Forward-exiting horizontal dropouts for singlespeed compatibility and wheelbase adjustability
