526B Kennedy Signature Series 26-3/4""W X 8-1/2""D X 13-5/8""H 8 Drawer Brown Machinists Chest in excellent condition. Well kept. No rust. No dents. Used to store only delicate machinist tools and calibration/ micrometers equipment. Has two handles on the sides, two front latches and one lock in front. I did lose the original key, thus replaced the lock, but kept it. The original lock requires key # T125, which is sold on ebay for about $6 ($5.99 with free shipping), although I've already had a new lock with two keys. So, it was easier for me to just replace the lock. The original lock is included with the toolbox. If you want all parts to be original, then go ahead and order the replacement key- the number is stamped on the back of the lock.
Each of eight drawers slides effortlessly and lined with wool felt to protect your tools. The top liner (under the lid) has a dry discoloration spot- silicone lubricant seeped out of one of my tools. But the spot is dry now. I would leave it as it is, although you can place another liner on top of the spot.The toolbox is very roomy- see the size above- and allows to keep a large variety of tools. Once the lid is flipped open, you can remove the front panel to gain access to the drawers behind it. The left front corner of the lid (seven o'clock) has a traditional Kennedy signature. The toolbox is made in Ohio, USA and has "brown wrinkle" powder coat finish on metal.
Overall, to my opinion, the condition is excellent. I am attaching photos from all sides of the box.
Bought the toolbox new back in 2014-2015 and paid about $800. Downsizing my shop- retiring. Thank you for looking.
