Marx Green No.416 Floodlight Tower
This Vintage prewar Lionel Marx Train Double Floodlight Tower is the original green enameled metal with tinplate heads and low volt bulbs.
I suspect it might actually be #316 which was issued earlier and was battery operated. The nonfunctional openings seen in the base might have been the location for a switch. If so, the tower has been updated eliminating the battery function.
The green surfaces have minor paint nicks, there is a bit of surface rust under the base, and it appears to have been rewired.

Marx Black No.416-A Floodlight Tower
This near perfect Marx Black postwar flood light tower is vintage post war from the 1950s. It is made of black enameled metal with a chrome light platform and two chrome light housings.
The paint surface is in near perfect condition. I find one minute nick of black paint. No rust.
