Join our team and make a difference for persons with i/dd. Opportunities for Inclusion is seeking:
Director of Day Habilitation for our Waltham location. Responsible for the daily oversight of adults with moderate to severe challenges, the ideal candidate has experience with MassHealth regulations and documentation as well as superb supervisory experience. Programming for this population includes improvement of day activities lead by staff and organizing and integrating music, canine, art, behaviorist and other specialists as well as significant university volunteer involvement
Director of ECB and Transitions is responsible for the overall direction and implementation of the combined Day Habilitation/Community Based Day Services program, Waltham School Transitions program, and Independent and Group Supported Employment programs. This includes immediate supervision of program managers, case managers and off-site supervisors. The Director will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of all necessary administrative, programmatic and staff systems. This includes oversight of facility maintenance and continued support and development of community relationships. Further responsibilities include timely maintenance of federal and state mandates for all required documentation as well as staff support in the development and implementation of innovative programing in support of Opportunities for Inclusion's participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in human services, business/marketing or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in human services or employment services. Candidate must have supervisory experience. . Excellent organizational, communication, management and team building skills required. Experience with DDS Survey & Certification and CARF requirements is necessary. Sign language skills a plus.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of I/DD population and community service system. Car & valid driver's license, computer literacy, CPR & First Aid and non-violent behavioral intervention.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours+, salaried position, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM with occasional early evening hours.
