Godin Freeway Active 4 electric bass, excellent condition, beautiful walnut finish on the body and a satin matte finish on the neck. Bridge has the Godin signature big block o'brass that runs through the body (you'll see it in a photo) making for a super-solid feel. Had one years back and got this one, but I'm so used to thinner, Ibanez-style necks now (this feels like a Fender, somewhere between a Jazz and a Standard) that I'm going to turn it loose again. No real signs of wear at all. Plays great and sounds great, very versatile.
Weight is similar to a Fender Jazz bass-- and the feel is also similar, but the solidity, the sound, and especially the build quality are superior to Made-in-Mexico Fenders that sell for $500 to $600 or more here. This bass is built like a tank without weighing like one; priced for someone who might just want to learn to play bass, but it's good enough for an accomplished/pro player.
Note: The "Active" in the name refers to active electronics-- a 9 volt battery makes the pickups sound cleaner, with little or no buzz. Mentioning this for people who might be new to the bass world; a battery will typically last for months because it's just doing noise reduction.
Per the previous seller, it just had a professional setup with D'Addario EXL70 45-100 roundwound strings. No bag/case but will fit any regular bass bag/case out there.
