Looking to hire a motivated, reliable individual to help take care of livestock and maintain barn, keeping it organized and clean. I ask that you're proactive and take care of things before asked. Be efficient with your time and that you work with a sense of urgency. Tasks involve, feed and water horses, goats, chickens and our barn cat Maxine. Scrubbing out troughs, Mucking stalls, brushing horses, someone comfortable occassionally administering meds to horses. Keeping both the horse barn and goat barn and chicken coop organized and tidy. Must be comfortable working with horses and goats. Hours are Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. depending on the day average work day is three hours during winter months. In Spring-Fall your hours would increase three-five hours daily. I would ideally like some flexible that is willing to cover an occasional weekend. You'll be expected to work holidays if it falls on your normal work day. You need to be able to operate a tractor and a ranger. Will need to walk perimeter of electric fence and cut saplings touching fence each month. Not afraid of weather. This job is rain/snow or shine. Help shovel snow occasionally. Warmer months we would ask that you occasionally trim hedges, (no lawn care) help in the gardens, help stack wood in the fall. general "handyman" work. Must be proactive, communicative, dependable.
