compensation: $19/hour
employment type: part-time
job title: PCA Personal Care Assistant
I'm an easy going, happy-go-lucky quadriplegic.

► Transfers are done with a ceiling track system and an electric hoist similar to a hoyer (no lifting).

Time:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6pm ~ 9:30pm.

Description:
► Make and feed me dinner ~ I'll eat anything short of creeping and crawling things but you'll usually be preheating leftovers from what my opposite night aides cook.
► Transfer me to bed ~ it's a ceiling track system with a hoist so no lifting (I might flap my wings during the flight and sing I believe I can fly...)
► Undress me in bed ~ I weigh 135 lbs so I'm easy to rock-n-roll
► Give me a suppository and transfer me to my shower chair ~ the transfer flight is round-trip
► Back me over the toilet and be prepared for digital stimulation ~ google it (digital stimulation for spinal cord injury)
► Roll me to the shower for shampoo and soap down ~ my hair is short and fading fast (sniffle... sniffle...)
► Setup my bed for return flight while I sing in the shower and make sounds like coyotes
► Floss/brush/rinse ~ you only have 1 set of teeth
► Back to bed
► Set me up for the night ~ no bedtime stories...
► You will be trained as many nights as you need to feel comfortable.

Experience is not necessary. Some of my best aids have been people with NO experience!!! I have a sense of humor, a lot of patients and am easy to get along with. No, REALLY!!! :-0

Thanks,
Rob
