The role requires driving a large medical van to various locations with your team. Team consisting of a Medical Doctor and a Speech Language Pathologist. Along with driving, you will be will transporting the patient to/from our mobile medical clinic and assist the MD/SLP during the evaluation.
The right candidate must be flexible with your schedule. Our drivers typically drive 3-4 days a week (Mon-Fri) with a day off. No Saturdays!
Must have excellent communication skills, a minimum an understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and must demonstrate compassion in working with the geriatric population.
Must be 21 Years or older and have a valid drivers license.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives mobile medical vehicle; following state / federal DOT guidelines and regulations
Works alongside scheduling department to develop routes, meeting locations, and ideas to improve efficiency
Maintain vehicle cleanliness (Including interior and exterior)
Performs daily DOT and MassTex Imaging pre/post trip inspection on vehicle & equipment
Performs daily/weekly/monthly vehicle maintenance checks
Completing daily, monthly and weekly reports (DOT, Expense, Maintenance, Incident)
Maintaining a strict inventory of items on the mobile medical truck
Working alongside a physician and speech language pathologist in a confined space
Communicating with office staff throughout the day, providing updates and any documents needed
Troubleshooting and problem solve for a variety of issues to include;
Computer/electronic, Fluoroscopy (X-Ray), Generator, Wheelchair lift, and vehicle
Assisting the SLP/MD during the MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) as needed, possibly having to put a lead on while being exposed to radiation.
Calling facility staff and/or patients notifying them when the team is 20-30 minutes away
Obtaining vitals through nursing and/or taking them once patient is on medical truck
Keeping the pace of the day, managing the time and staying on schedule
Obtain necessary paperwork and medical documents (chart) needed to begin study (consent, doctor orders etc.)
Transporting patient to/from the mobile medical truck
Adhere to all HIPPA regulations and follow MTI protocols and procedures
Driver's License (min 3 years)
