The Baker bakes all sizes and flavors of cakes offered by the bakery and according to the bakery standards, recipes and timelines. The Baker is responsible for maintaining the required par levels and will bake accordingly. The Baker must keep the baking station clean, sanitized and running efficiently, tracking inventory and order groceries and baking materials. Note this is NOT a “culinary” position but rather one which bakes high quality product consistently to standard. Note that work shifts are typically 6am-12pm or as late as 9am-3pm on a set Monday-Friday schedule, with occasional late night baking during the holidays.
Previous baking experience
Ability to lift up to 80 pound and has physical stamina
Has good organizational skills and can foresee problems and resolve them proactively
Understands the importance of maintaining a clean work area
Bake the full line of cakes by diligently following the recipes
Remove cakes from pans and properly packaged them
Complete a daily production sheet and share with management
Keep baking area, tables, equipment and tools clean and sanitized according to local health codes
Assist other departments as needed and directed
$15/hr with 30 +/- hours a week on schedule. Hours and pay is tightly correlated to job performance.
