This indicates the updated balance shaft, sprocket, and timing chain guide wheel (idler) were used during production. This addresses the known balance shaft issue in Mercedes-Benz M272 engines with serial numbers up to 272964 30 468993. Therefore, this engine is not affected by the balance shaft issue.
