Greet and service the client promptly and courteously
Inspect the vehicle and apply proper tools and resources to accurately identify and verify clients’ service needs. Record them along with current vehicle and client information on the repair order. Verify client approval of service work
Refer to service history, inspect vehicle, and recommend additional needed service to clients. Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts and accessories by thoroughly understanding the product and service lines
Advise clients on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with factory specifications
Write and verify accurate repair orders and complete by reviewing all copies, including supporting documentation. Ensure client gets claim check
Ensure new and used car warranty repairs by approving adjustments within standard warranty periods
Coordinate with the Service Manager, Shop Dispatcher or other service personnel and communicate with clients and technicians regarding repair work. Determine time of completion
Check on progress of repairs throughout the day. Contact clients regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explain cost and time requirements in detail, and receive proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
Ensure requested vehicle repairs and services are performed correctly upon completion by inspecting the vehicle prior to delivery back to client
Establish ongoing consulting relationships with clients by being available during normal hours to answer questions, explain additional repairs needed and make subsequent service appointments
Meet all requirements of state and federal law dealing with automobile repair and consumer protection

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
Must be able to drive a manual shift
