Here's my problem...Tenant vs Rental management company issue
1. My landlord recently hired a rental management company (RMC for ahort)
2. At the end of Dec, I paid my Jan 2026 rent in full
3. The RMC emailed me a rental increase notice after Jan 1, 2026
4. A few days after the RMC emailed me the rental increase notice, they demanded back rent for Jan
5. I told the RMC they had to give me at least 30 days notice for a rental increase to be valid
6. So they pulled the rental increase agreement they sent in Jan and replaced it with another that increased the rent even more
7. Is this legal?...they violated MA law about the 30 days so to "fix" their error they changed the due date AND added to the rental increase amount.
