Beautiful set of 7 antique portrait cabinet plates made by Victoria Carlsbad, Austria, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century (c. 1891–1918).

Each plate features a finely detailed portrait of a famous historical woman, surrounded by a wide gilt border with neoclassical designs. The portraits are transfer-printed and enhanced by hand, with the sitter’s name inscribed on the reverse in gold script. The red Victoria Carlsbad Austria shield backstamp is present on each plate.

Included figures:

• Marie Antoinette (2 plates) - Queen of France, iconic figure of the Revolution

• Empress Joséphine – wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, admired for her elegance

• Madame Récamier (2 plates) – Parisian beauty and celebrated hostess

• Duchesse de Montpensier – French royal noblewoman
