This is an exquisite porcelain statue of Paul Revere's Midnight Ride produced in a limited edition for the American Bicentennial by the Goebel company.
Master Sculptor, Gerhard Skrobek (Polish, 1922-2007) captures the actions of American patriot Paul Revere with this sculpture in a Limited Edition Porcelain Statue of "Paul Revere's Midnight Ride", #320/400 on a mahogany stand.
Sculptor's signature is incised on the base.
The brass plaque on the front of the base reads: "Paul Revere's Midnight Ride" Sounding the alarm "The British are Coming" on April 18, 1775, Sculpted by Gerhard Skrobek for W. Goebel - Porxellanfabrik"No. 320 in a limited edition of 400.
Includes Certificate of Authenticity. These are rarely available.
Approx size: 14 " tall x 17 " wide x 8 " deep.
Goebel copyright 1975. Excellent original condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. A great addition to your collection of fine, rare porcelains. Great display piece for Americana collectors.
