framed dim: 16" x 21.5", pencil signed by Hedley Fitton, original wood frame, matted, without glass.
Over hundred year old. One similar shown at the Dayton Art Institute in Ohio. (see last image) The one I am selling also has similar sepia tone, not black.
Hedley Fitton British, 1859 - 1929
Hedley Fitton was an important English etcher, noted for his lively, sensitive depictions of sites visited during his travels. His work is highly sought after and includes a remarkable body of views of Florence, Venice and London. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. He won a jury commendation in 1906 and a third-class medal in 1907.
