COLLECTORS ONLY -- Rare 1930 AIR KING Frequency Converter with original silk cord plug.

Perfect UX Socket DC model designed to add Short Wave reception to your vintage AM tube radio. A Pre-stage adaptor for SW/FM/VHF/UHF. In excellent visual condition consistent with being almost 100 years old. Unknown if adaptor works, but everything is there. $75.

ALSO -- 1934 ATLAS GAZETTER -- With Forward by Lowell Thomas -- excellent condition -- $50.

If you have a Superheterdyne set, the cable plug goes into the 1st Det. (mixer) and that tube goes into the adapter socket on the converter. The oscillator tube must be taken out to prevent interference with short wave reception. All tuning is done on the adapter.

Your Broadcast Receiver acts as an IF-amplifier with (2nd) Det. and AF.: First adjust your set to a wavelength between 450 and 500 meters (where no local station is received!), with all dials tuned in and all controls set, just as though a distant station was being tuned in. Now the Receiver is ready to use with adapter. Connect antenna and ground to the ANT and GND terminals on the Short Wave Adapter. Tune using the selector control and use the auxiliary control to adjust regeneration.
