enLabel ® is searching for highly motivated, creative, energetic, technical writer to participate in our internship program. The junior technical writer intern will assist with formatting and writing user documentation.  Initially, you will review existing documentation for accuracy and usability. You will then work with marketing, support and development staff to create and update documentation for all enLabel software products. This includes:<br>
•	The Tattoo ID family of products -  Windows software that allows users to design complex, professional labels with bar codes, text and graphics that can be dynamic or static. Dynamic data can come from a wide variety of sources, including databases such as Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL Server or Oracle and others. <br>
•	The On-Tap family of products – Multiplatform software that allows a user to add bar codes to their application.<br>
•	enLabel Workflow products -  Web-based database-driven packaging and label life-cycle software. <br>
Job description<br>
•	Produce clear and concise documentation that explains how to use the software in a step-by-step manner that is easy for the target audience to understand.  (Target audience varies by product from computer novices to IT professionals)<br>
•	Use appropriate templates and style sheets in Adobe RoboHelp to produce html on-line help and export to .pdf for user guides.<br>
•	Use a screen-grab program and Adobe Fireworks or Photoshop to create any necessary graphics.<br>
•	Coordinate document development or update with requirements analysts and system engineers to learn about new products, updates or enhancements. Interview subject-matter experts for information about the product.<br>
•	Attend project meetings when appropriate.<br>
List of projects<br>
•	Review current documentation for accuracy while using the appropriate software & recommend improvements. <br>
•	Revise current documentation to add new features for product updates.<br>
•	Participate in creating training literature and other publications as required. For example, installation, operation, and maintenance instructions, technical data sheets, integration guides, process guides, etc.<br>
Objectives<br>
•	Learn how to apply the latest "best practices" learned in school in a real world situation.<br>
Qualifications<br>
•	Preferably college sophomore or higher with a major in technical writing. Must have completed introductory Technical Writing courses with a grade of B or higher.<br>
•	Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.<br>
•	Familiarity with basic html commands and use of style sheets desirable.<br>
•	Experience with Adobe products, including RoboHelp helpful.<br>

•	Based on student availability, minimum of 10 hours/week. <br>
