This is an honest posting and I'm looking for a very certain someone so please read it all the way through before responding.
I find many men will write/respond to anyone. I could probably write an ad saying, "Hi, I'm a girl and I have boobs" and get 100 responses.
Are we a good match? Let's see:
I want a man with substance.
You should want a woman who's sensitive, considerate and thoughtful.
I don't care how good looking you are (or think you are); if you are not intelligent, kind and interesting I'm not going to see you again.
You should compliment me on things other than my appearance - I don't want to just be "beautiful" and "sexy", I want to be "witty" and "smart" also.
I want to settle down, I want to get married and I want to have children.
You should be at that stage too and reading that line shouldn't make you cringe.
I want someone who is a true gentleman at heart - open my door, pull out my chair, pay for dinner - don't try to invite yourself up at the end of the night.
You should want to let me be a woman - let me cook your dinner, rub your shoulders after a long day, and take care of you when you're sick.
I want someone who appreciates nature. He should enjoy the seasons, plants and animals and should want to get out and explore with me.
You should appreciate that I do enjoy some "man things" like camping, fishing and hiking yet be okay with the fact that I don't like sports.
I want someone with a fairly large social circle and plans of his own - I can't be with someone who depends completely on me for entertainment.
You must be okay with having a girlfriend who enjoys weekends away with her girlfriends from time to time. You must be able to trust me.
I need someone who likes the arts. Whether you love music or traditional art you should enjoy going to both museums and concerts with me.
You should enjoy the fact that I like discovering and trying new hobbies. If I knit you a scarf, you have to promise to wear it at least once!
As much as I value the inside, I also need to be attracted to you so please don't write to me if you're overweight, overly hairy or have bad teeth.
You should like tattoos on a woman because I have many. Despite this I'm classy, educated, and polite so don't assume I'm white trash.
(I don't care whether you have no tattoos or a hundred tattoos - I'm attracted to the person, not the "image", and I just personally see tattoos as art)
I don't care about your religion or political affiliation. All I care is that you're tolerant and open minded and willing to listen to and accept other views.
You should be okay with the fact that I am not religious and support several liberal causes. I don't march in rallies, though, don't worry.
I want someone who is okay with having a wife who wants to stay at home with the kids. They grow up too fast and I don't want to miss a thing.
You should have the means to make this a reality. You should be proud that I'll be a PTA member, a girl scout troup leader and a soccer mom.
I want someone who is sensual, sexual and uninhibited. I want someone who can't keep his hands off of me.
You should want the same in a woman yet understand that I'm not going to sleep with you on the first few dates - be respectful of my boundaries.
I want someone who lives a healthy lifestyle - no smoking, no drugs and no drinking until you throw up. Social drinking is fine.
You should enjoy eating healthy meals and exercising together. You should value keeping your body healthy.
In summary, I have a deep longing to find something real. I crave passion and chemistry and having a best friend to share my life with.
