This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath custom-built home in Wellfleet is brand new. Set on a lovely wooded site, this pristine home with vaulted ceilings boasts a sparkling light-filled interior. It is charmingly decorated, with bamboo hardwood floors throughout, custom tiled baths and hearth, a cute 'retro' kitchen with all amenities and a breakfast bar, plenty of windows and skylights, a generous deck with gas grill, and an outdoor shower. The expansive great room is composed of a dining area and 2 separate seating areas, and is equipped with large HDTV (with cable, VDR, DVD) and stereo system. Across the back of the house are 3 bedrooms: master with queen bed and private bath, 'kids' room with a twin/trundle and sleeping loft equipped with futons, and a 3rd bedroom with full bed. A shared bath lies between latter 2 bedrooms. Semi-finished basement/rec room has a full-sized futon and TV/DVD. There are laundry facilities and Internet access on the premises. It's a wonderful house for 2 families to enjoy--kids love the loft with its peekaboo 'spy' window. There's lots of room to relax indoors or sit on the deck, watch the hummingbirds at our feeders, and the foxes and deer that wander through.

Walk to Gull or Higgins Pond (at 'the Sluice')--great ponds for swimming and boating. It's a quick drive to Wellfleet Center or any of the ocean beaches--or bike if you prefer. Tired of the beach? Enjoy Wellfleet's great galleries, shops and restaurants. Take a leisurely stroll through the Audubon bird sanctuary, catch a fishing charter out of Wellfleet Harbor, or a whale watch from nearby Provincetown. This summer house is a tidy, cute, and small (500 sq.ft.), with cathedral ceiling throughout (wooden rafters & wooden roof boards exposed & painted white), and a large window-seat facing the water. It was built in 1955 (w/a minor renovation in 1992 after Hurricane Bob) and is the 3rd house built on this lot. (The first two little summer houses were blown away by hurricanes - the first in '38, the second in '54. All three were built by the same person. He really got it right by the third time he built.)

The living room is about 15 ft x 17 ft, not including its 8 ft long (7 ft high) window seat. In the living room, a futon couch turns into a double bed.

It has 1 small MBR with a double bed, and a fold-down single twin bed above this double bed. This room is about 7 ft. x 10 ft. and has a low sloped ceiling.

It has one small bunk room with two twin beds, one above the other. This room is also about 7 ft. x 10 ft. and has a high sloped ceiling.

It has only one tiny bathroom, with only a shower (no tub). This room is about 4 ft x 6 ft.
The kitchen is also small - a galley kitchen - about 6 ft x 10 ft. No microwave, no dishwasher, 1950's fixtures, counters & appliances.

All rooms, except the living room, have the wall framing exposed and painted.

The place has two outdoor decks: one facing east and south - attached to the house (10 ft x 15 ft deck); one facing west and south - attached to shed (8 ft x 8 ft deck).
And there's an outdoor fireplace.
Also, the property is covered in wild roses, as is the adjoining vacant lot to the west (facing Ned's Point Lighthouse.)

Ages range from mid 20's to mid 30's. The house is VERY spacious and of newer construction for the area. It has 5 B/R + Loft, 2 1/2 Bath, two kitchens, two living rooms with flat screen TV's + DVD players, stereo that is Ipod ready, wireless high speed net, finished basement with pool table, fooseball + darts. Hot tub on back deck, BBQ, + fire pit. House is located in a subdivision just outside the village of Bethel, but is in the corner with several open lots surrounding it for privacy. It is about 2 miles to town & 5 miles to the access road so going out or to the slopes is quick & easy. You can even catch the 'explorer' right at the top of Main St so you don't have to drive!

Cost is $1300/pp for a FULL SHARE which includes ALL utilities, heat, water, electric, cable tv, internet, local phone, hot tub cleanings, plowings, firewood, ect. The share allows you to come up every weekend, long weekends, mid-week if you have vacation, holidays -- basically, just don't try to live there for the season.
