SQL Database Developer

An industry leader south of Boston is looking for a SQL developer for an exciting 4 to 6 month contract!!

A leader in resource technology is looking for an experienced SQL database developer to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have solid database development experience using SQL and will have proven knowledge on the full-life cycle of database development. This is an excellent contract opportunity in a dynamic software company setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work on a team of 2 to develop a multi-tiered SQL database using SQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures and Triggers

SQL 2005 optimization of the company’s existing databases

Participate in the full-life cycle of SQL database development from design and architecture to development and deployment

Help to add on new features and support the current solution

Summary of Technologies to be used: SQL 2005 or better, T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, ETL and Data Migration, Business Objects/Crystal Reports

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of overall software and database development experience

3+ years of SQL development and architecture experience

Proficient on full-life cycle of SQL and T-SQL database development

Hands on experience with Stored Procedures, Triggers, SSIS, SSRS and SQL tuning and upgrading

Working knowledge on data access layer and use of ETL and Data Migration

Business Objects and Crystal Reports

BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity working in a C#/ADO.NET environment is a big plus

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent is desired

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

CONTRACT LOCATION:

Middleboro, MA (no travel required)

CONTRACT LENGTH:

4 to 6+ month minimum for a mission critical project

CONTRACT HOURLY RATE:

The hourly rate will depend 100% on prior experience and skillset

INTERVIEW PROCESS:

First Round phone screen

Second Round face to face interview that can be a final round
