What I'm looking for is a drummer and lead guitarist with goals and experience similiar to my own. If you can provide backing vocals that's a major plus! Let's not waste each other's time though. If you're not serious about making music a career and/or aren't that good on your instrument, then please don't reply to this ad. I'm not saying you must be a virtuoso, but you need to be able to get progressive and get funky.

I want to play mostly originals, with some covers mixed in throughout the setlist. To get tight we need to be practicing 3-4 nights a week. I'll be switching my availability at my day job to open up time for this to be possible. If time is a problem for you, you'll need to make sure to have your nights free also.

In terms of promotion, I feel the more we can do ourselves the better.

We will do classic covers such as D'yer Mak'r by Zep and Jungle Love by Steve Miller, etc. Just to give you an idea.

We will also do more modern covers as we go. Our sound will be heavy pop, but we are a jam band first. We have a lead guitar player, a drummer, and a rhythm/keyboard/sax player. We will probably delve into the genres of funk and blues at some point, depending on our singer.

We are looking for a bassist who is a good entertainer, and who can improvise where we might need him to. No insane bass solos, just someone who can fill the space we need and work well with the drums. We're already renting a jam space in Whitman, MA and we hope to be playing regular gigs in Boston and Providence very soon. The three of us are from Marshfield, we are all 21-22 years old. The practice space should be about $40 per person per month, but gig money should have it all paid for. In the space we have 24 hour access and can jam at full volume until 1 am. We need someone who's committed but also down to drink beer and have a fun time. If you're a good entertainer we want you. You should have your own bass equipment.

VOCALIST! We also need a vocalist badly. A quality voice and on-stage presence are pretty key. We are probably expecting to hear from male singers but we are open to females coming and rehearsing and feeling it out. We hope you dig what we are going for.

We tend to have a mix of British rock/pop and American rock sound.

We are looking for someone that can get excited about the sound and developing the material. Chemistry is just as important as talent to us. A sense of humor goes a long way. Must have reliable transportation, decent equipment, and availability in your schedule to practice a few days a week. NO DRUGS. We also prefer a non-smoker just so we don't have to break every 45 minutes for you. A few of us will have drinks but we are not a booze band by any means. We are in our early 30's and are looking to bring in someone a bit younger so we don't become a band of old men. No offense if you are older but we would ideally like this candidate to be between the ages of 22 to 28. These are arbitrary numbers but younger tends to be not so mature (please get in touch if you are younger but have a good head on your shoulders) anything older is when many people start letting themselves go and a band does need an image (please get in touch if your a bit older but still have a good look to you).

A FEW SONG IDEAS: Thrill is gone (BB King), Help the poor (BB King), Pretty woman (Albert King), Crossroads (Cream), Before you accuse me (Clapton), Roadhouse blues (Doors), Stormy Monday (T-Bone Walker), Mustang Sally (Wilson Pickett), Red house (Hendrix) Move it on over (Thorogood), Mojo' workin (Muddy waters) to name a few.

I also like upbeat shuffle blues tunes along with some of the older heavy British blues songs like Communication breakdown (Led Zeppelin), Sunshine of your love (Cream). A good variety of slower and faster songs would be great. Maybe add a harp player down the line! Could be alot of fun.. I would like to practice 1 day per week on Sat. or Sun. afternoon and eventually gig once or twice a month.
