MTD 8 h.p. Tecumseh Snow King engine. Electric start, which I never use. It starts on 1 or 2 pulls. This machine has never let me down, it is 11 seasons old and runs very good. A chistmas present doesn't need to be shiny and new, a tie or a pair of cuff links, and a crock pot. It can be a nice dependable, practical snowblower that will save someones back or from suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow. The history of this machine goes like this. We bought it new 11 seasons ago. I have always maintained it, which was not much, change oil every year, change spark plug every 2 years, and prepare it for summer storage every year. Last year the carb was replaced by Murphy Bros here in Weymouth for a cost of 200 to me, yeah, rip off, but I did not feel up to the job. It ran great when I got it back when the drive cable broke. After Murphy Bros, I ordered the cable on line and replced it myself for 13 dollars. It has run good ever since. Buy it today or come by to see it make this snow disappear, the first storm of the year. We bought a new one yesterday but will use the old one today. Thanks.
