The Plympton Congregational Church will be holding their annual chicken dinner in the fellowship hall from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, November 20. For $9.50 per person ($3.00 per child), you get a full homemade dinner including chicken, stuffing, rice, green beans, cranberry jello salad and a roll topped off with a delicious apple crisp a la mode and a choice of punch, coffee or tea for a beverage. There will also be homemade apple pies available for purchase.
On Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., the Church will be sponsoring their holiday fair with items for sale including handmade crafts, gifts, homemade baked goods (with more apple pies), a cookbook containing recipes from church members and their friends and fair trade coffee. You can also take chances to win from a number of fabulous raffle prizes. A rummage sale will also be featured. Be sure to partake of a special luncheon fare including homemade chowder and soup among other luncheon items for purchase. Lunch will be served from 11a.m.-1p.m.
The Plympton Folk Arts is sponsoring the 28th Christmas Shop in the Country featuring many handmade items from local artisans and crafters. This will take place on Friday from 2-8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Finally, the Plympton Library will be sponsoring a book and fudge sale. Get your supply of books to read during the long, cold days of winter at great prices. Various types of fudge made by library friends from the community are available for purchase. You can pick from a number of varieties and take home an assortment of your choosing.
