Primary Functions: Prepare cost estimates for construction proposals, project may include bathroom/ kitchen renovations, exterior siding/ roofing, windows, custom homes up to 6000 sq ft. Work with sales team, designer, and home owner to create detailed designs, layouts and 3D computer renderings to correspond to proposed scope.
Responsibilities:
Make site visits as necessary to aide Clients in defining Project scope and obtaining necessary information regarding the existing and proposed conditions on site for design and budgetary purposes.
Compile quality accurate take-offs
Prepare accurate and timely preliminary construction budgets to include subcontractor scope letters, obtaining quotes and agreements from vendors and calculating appropriate markups.
Provide and analyze cost comparisons for materials, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure best value for all proposed labor & materials.
Work with the sales team, design team and homeowners to create detailed and accurate plans, layouts and 3-D renderings to correspond to clients budgetary requirements through use of the Chief Architect Design Program.
Generate preliminary owner contract for review and approval by company executive.
Present all contracts and design options to client
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Strong Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Chief Architect Design Software.
Minimum1-3 years construction and/or design experience
Exhibits a highly professional demeanor and appearance
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of local building codes, blueprints, plans and contract administration.
Ability to meet critical deadlines
Individual must be a self-starter with multi-disciplines capable of delivering a product on a timely basis.
Successful interpersonal skills required to relate and motivate individuals on all levels.
Advanced degree and/or ten years experience in control engineering.
A working knowledge of advanced control systems is required.
In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance of the in-house electronic drawing library and assisting the engineering staff in receiving or transmitting CAD drawings via email. You will also be reponsible for digitizing ant existing designs into autocad.
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years AutoCAD experience Required, Solidworks a plus.
Solid understanding of CAD drafting methods and techniques.
Must be able to prepare drawings based on written and verbal instructions.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Must be detail oriented with good communication skills.
CERTIFICATIONS
Certification from an accredited AutoCAD Program.
Associates Degree preferred
