Our school is currently looking for a motivated, warm, and energetic person, to fill a part-time School Coordinator’s position beginning in December/January. Our ideal candidate has experience as a lead teacher and at least 6 months to 1 year experience in directing a center or a willingness to learn. The chosen School Coordinator will have the privilege of assisting in managing an excellent program.
Qualifications:
EEC certification as a director – an absolute must.
B.A./B.S. degree
Directorial experience is a plus!
Familiarity and compliance with Massachusetts child-care licensing requirements
Strong leadership, interpersonal and community outreach skills.
Effective organizational management skills.
Excellent communication skills with both adults and children.
Classroom management skills.
Job Description:
Excellent teaching skills in the classroom.
Ensure a safe and caring environment for the education of children.
Work with head of school to implement school curriculum.
Interact with children’s parents on a daily informal basis as well as in formal meetings.
Collect school tuition and extracurricular fees.
Manage and oversee fund raising campaigns.
Respond to inquiries about admissions and school policies.
Engage in proficient public relations and community education about the school.
Assist in writing school newsletters and calendar.
Foster a warm and supportive environment that allows children, their families and teachers to develop to their full potential.
