Description:
The Sr. Network Engineer will become a valuable asset to our client's 10-person IT Infrastructure team. As one of two people in charge of their large network infrastructure the successful candidate will need to have a strong understanding of network hardware and configuration. Most of the hardware is Cisco-based, with Juniper accounting for the rest. The ability to work with managed services providers and utilizing them efficiently will be key to success in this role.
Required:
- 5+ years experience with network hardware management
- Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and hubs
- Firewall experience (Juniper Netscreen ideal)
- Demonstrable success designing and implementing LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions
- Familiarity with network capacity planning and security principles
- Ability to work with managed service providers (direct experience with this ideal)
Desired:
- Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) highly desirable
- Juniper SSL remote access and load balancer experience
- Definity PBX experience
