The Aristocrats (Dick 'n' Bush) (enough said)

The Republican Party walks into the American people’s living rooms, and says, "We're the Family Value’s Party, and we'd like to represent you."

The American People say, "Sorry, but we’re a little leery of Family Values parties. They tend to be scams run by demagogues.”

Republican Party says, "But this is really special."

The American People says, "Okay, well what's the act?"

The Republican Party replies, "Well after the worst attack on American soil in history, we hijack the nation's grief and rage to plunge us into a war with entirely the wrong country.

“Then we let the actual terrorist responsible for the attack to sit in a comfy chair on the edge of the stage and laugh and laugh and laugh for the duration of the performance.

“The Mainstream Press then comes out, bends over and we take them violently and repeatedly from behind by jamming giant lies up their poop chutes, which come spurting out of their mouths the next day as 'authoritative reporting'. Then we cite our own regurgitated lies as independent ‘proof’ that we're right.

“Meanwhile Fox News and Hate Radio will peel the flesh from the fallen soldiers (whose flag-draped coffins are to be kept strictly hidden during the entire act. Out of, y’know, respect), wrap themselves in their skin, the Flag and the Bible and spend the rest of the act as a kind of Rich White Greek Chorus, screaming that anyone who is not in the act is a traitor.

“They will also hypnotically repeat ‘9/11/Iraq/Saddam Hussein/Osama bin Laden’ over and over and over again until any distinctions between them become magically invisible.

“We then wheel a brain-dead body on the stage named Terri Schiavo, and proceed to use it to defile both the institution of marriage and the sanctity of life…in the name of the Jesus. And then the President himself will interrupt one of his many vacations to make a special guest appearance and sign a special law to do this.

“Our ‘maverick’ candidates then come out, set fire to their remaining principles, and slither though their own shit to kiss Jerry Falwell’s pasty, pestilent ass.

“Then a kick-line of severely wounded veterans of our illegal war hobble across the stage, are locked into tiny rooms crawling with rats and roaches, and are left to sit in their own waste.

“The stage will be ringed by White Male Conservative Fundamentalist Evangelical on tall pulpits who will repetitively rant about the feminists, queers, Darwin and the ACLU oppressing and destroying Christian America while urinating continuously on the proceedings. To spice it up a little, every now and then one of the White Male Conservative Fundamentalist Evangelical preachers will smoke meth and/or orally pleasure some young gentleman volunteer from the audience.

“The daughter of the Vice President will stand under the shower of Conservative urine and sing a merry song about her great love of the Family Values of her Father and her Party.

”Then - live and on stage -- she and her lesbian lover will then give birth to a child out of wedlock.

“Every six minutes a voice will shout from offstage ‘Who is to blame for this horror show?’ and everyone on stage will shout back ‘Slick Willie!’ in unison.

“Every four minutes a spotlight will pick out various Family Values leaders in the wings engaged in various acts of including but not limited to sex with a gay prostitute, sex as a gay prostitute, attempting to solicit gay sex from young boys, embezzling funds from disabled veterans, stealing from native Americans, looting and then busting out various massive corporations, rigging elections, selling soldiers tainted food and toilet water at premium prices, attacking senior citizens for hating soldiers and loving “teh gay”

“And so forth…”
The American People look very uncomfortable, but the Republican Party continues…
“This will be followed by a series of what we call Ironic Soliloquies.
“First, one of our Faith Based 'scientists' will sodomize a baby polar bear with the worlds 'Global Warming' painted on its fur.
“Second, the head of the agency in charge of responding to national emergencies will let an entire American city die. No expense will be spared in making this as realistic as possible, including the mocking of the dead, the dying and the devastated as being 'lazy and stupid'...
“Third, the top Law Enforcement Officer in the country will torture a series of bound prisoners live, soak the writ of Habeas Corpus in kerosene and set in alight, smash the machinery of democracy, all while singing a rockin’ cover of 'I Don’t Remember'.

“The Secretary of Defense will then fuck an entire country into the ground, destroy the military, lie until his ass actually falls off, and mock anyone who asks honest questions.
“Then, for laughs, the Vice President will shoot a guy. An old guy. In the face.
“The old guy will then profusely apologize for getting in the way of the Vice President’s buckshot.”
The Republican Party pauses, smiling, and then continues:
"This is the best part: the President of the United States then comes back onstage in a flight suit and a massive codpiece, struts over the dead and wounded, over our ruined national reputation, over our failing schools, over our crippling debt, and praises every one of us for the brilliant job we have done, and passes out Presidential Medal’s of Freedom.
“Then a giant banner reading ‘Mission Accomplished’ drops out the ceiling, and 29% of the audience applauds wildly as we all get up and take a bow."
The Republican Party looks at the American People and says, "Well, that's the act. What do you think?"
The American People just sit there stunned for a long time. Finally they say, "That's a hell of an act. What do you call yourselves?"

"The Aristocrats!"

I'm generalizing, certainly people get married for the wrong reasons.
Seriously though if your wife isn't interested in what you have to say try talking about something else.

When you find a common interest to share the conversation will flow. I'm sure the two of you
can find something in common (hint: it might be something that's new to both of you). When you can
share a passion like that outside of the intimacy it makes the whole relationship much stronger. Of course
you will still need to do things that are not particularly interesting to you just for her sake, and believe me
when she sees that you are making some sacrafice I bet she will respond in kind.

As far as the jealousy aspect you might just need a little communication about it. Jealousy is not a trait
that's very admirable, however, you need to understand what (about your behavior maybe?) makes her
feel so insecure. Open honest communication is fundamental here.

One last thing about communication; Don't be confrontational, she will go right on the defensive and you
won't be able to communicate. There are some simple tricks that can help you avoid being confrontational with her.

For example:
Instead of saying "You act distant when we're at a party" just say "I feel like there is distance between us..."
No one can argue your feelings, they are your feelings. If you say for example "When you act... I feel ..." that cannot
be denied, she will actually listen to that. You can also pull the I had this dream ... You can use this (fib/lie?) to get any point
across in an indirect non confrontational manner. It's a dream, people have them and they cannot be denied.

I disagree with "no one every gets married for the sole reason of keeping their partner exclusive". My wife couldn't possibly care less about a single thing I talk about......unless in some way, it can be gotten jealous about. In which case, she's all in my shit and will be quoting and misquoting me for years after that.

I don't know what's left of my marriage except that I can't possibly interact, think or even mention another woman. Seriously, if not for that, it would be really hard to identify what we have as a marriage.

I wrote the post below yesterday. It was partly inspired by the cheating threads so I figured I would make that connection for you all.

As I see it Love is "(see qulaities below)", and when any one of those things is missing and needed that's where cheating comes in. I might be missing
out on the interesting conversation piece for example, and unable to get that at home. In that case I begin to look for meaningful conversation elsewhere.
It's innocent enough, I was doing some soul searching and just really needed some meaningful conversation from a sypathetic party, the trouble
is that intimacy is always on the brain, and when I recognize one of the "love qualities" intimacy is not far behind.

Cheating is not reason enough to destroy a relationship. If your partner has sex outside of the relationship and you simply say "that's it get out" it means
there was nothing worthwhile in the realtionship to begin with. I suppose most people react this way in an attempt to lash out and hurt the one that has
hurt them. Simply put no one every gets married for the sole reason of keeping their partner exclusive. Of course that's a part of it, even a very important part,
but there should be so many other things on that list that far outway the intimacy. I would say the most damaging part of infidelity has to be the dishonesty.

It bears mentioning that Honesty and Sincerety are prerequisites to most of the "love qualities" mentioned below. Obviously
you can't respect a liar, or respect someone you are lying too.

It's true relationships are a two way street. Love is good, and sex is good but sex with your lover is great!!!
Think peanut butter and chocolate, ya know...

Yes it's true the man is typically responsible for most things. You can't be a good father without first being a good husband.
"Women and children learn by example" Man up and set a good example!

Ask yourself

1) Do I admire this person? (Are you proud of them, do you respect their efforts)
2) Do I find this person interesting? (Do you enjoy listening to them, have you learned from them)
3) Is this a person I trust?
4) Do I have the same/similar ambitions as this person?
5) Am I excited by the intimacy?
6) Would this person make a good roomate?

Don't forget Love is also a two way street,

1) Am I an admirable person? What makes me so..
2) Am I interesting? What are my interests?
3) Can I be trusted?
4) What are my ambitions?
5) Am I listening to her desires? (Do I know what really get's her excited?) hint: she's not ever going to tell you.
6) Can I pick up my own mess? Do I help with the house work, laundry, ... Don't ever bitch about these things, just set the example.

38M married for 9 years now... We have our problems and no one is perfect, I try not to sweat the little things. I do depend on her for sincerity and often times it's a let down. All that tells me is that I need to communicate my displeasure and work to show her my own sincerity (learn by example).

Good luck, I'm forever glad that I choose the family life even though it has forced some of the most difficult choices and emotions, at least I'm living it and not just reading about it.

Merry Christmas

What in gods name is wrong with Friendly's employees? Mcdonalds has better employees! For one reason or another I enjoy the food that Friendly's has to offer. I should bring a nice long book with lots of words in tiny, tiny, print, on thousands of pages. It starts with these fuckers everytime I walk into one of these L(k)inks in the chain. They can't decide what table/section to put me in. Then it takes the ding bat waitress a solid 10 minutes to realize that her ticket just got punched and she has a paying customer sitting in her very own section. So besides her forgetting a side item or two I finally receieved my (cold) Buffalo chicken wrap a half hour later. I did not bother returning it because by this point I am starting to fade. During the 12 minutes it took me to completely devour the wrap. This stupid waitress asked me about 6 times if I was ready for dessert! I didn't even want desert but I said to myself what the hell! How long could it take to toss a couple of scoops of ice cream in a dish. 18 mins of my life later I got the ice cream. It was partially melted!
The only thing that kept me in the game tonight was this sorry looking human being of a waitress. She was all mashed up on something. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I would have to go with some type of speed. But let me tell you..if you like to people watch, this one takes the gold! Honestly I think I might go back soon just for the visual! See the carnival at 125 Haverhill!

re: Working at State Street Corp

I'm glad I'm not alone in my assessment of State Street. I was there for over 5 years and for the last couple of them I would go home every night and pray to die in my sleep. State Street's toxic work environment was too much to bear in combination with a MBTA commute. Fortunately I got out before the recession hit. Things have been good since but I have one regret. I had an opportunity to ask out a hot blonde on the commuter rail but I never pursued because I was perpetually angry and didn't want to put someone else through my anger and frustration mainly because I couldn't control it or overcome it.

I'm curious, would you move across country forever if it was the only option to get out of State Street? I would have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would switch my position with someone who was collecting Unemployement anyday then continue to work here, really I would. God, I hate this fucking place, to death. I have a fake smile on my face everyday i go to work. It is so hard to hide my frown now, I just can't hold back anymore. Economy is tougher then nails which makes it even harder to get the fuck out of this shit hell hole. At the time I was job hunting, I had some options, chose State Street because I heard it in the news a couple of times, saw the Sign on that tall building they had overlooking the city from a 360 degree direction. All of this drew me in but it never crossed my mind to asked around from previous employees or check out some web reviews. Had I knew just a tid bit about what the hell I was going to get myself into, I would have never, EVER....EVER come to work at this company. If everyone get to experience one nightmarish, awful job, once in their lifetime, then this is mine. Couldn't come at a worst time. I can't believe how much this place has affected my life for the worst. I haven't been able to sleep, which is why I am writing this right now, 2AM in the morning. I haven't been able to enjoy my weekends just thinking about the hell hole I'll go back to for 5 days a week. I go home extremely frustrated after a long day at work and I've just stopped doing the things I love.

Some people here are nice and it makes me sad that I see a smile on their faces because this is what they have and I hate it so much. I don't mean no disrespect, I don't feel in any way that i am better then others but what a fucking piece of shit place it is here to work. Others that make this place sucks, they must be from another planet, seriously, I have never come across such worthless beings in life. I hear some say the reason they stay is because of the "benefits", as if other jobs don't offer benefits.

How it is here is unbelievable, Right is wrong, Wrong is right, down is up and up is down. you are left confused almost on a daily basis. The smarter you are and prove your inept manager wrong, you become a threat, not deemed worthy of being moved up the latter. Believe me, I am not ranting about being bitter for not being promoted, that is the last thing i'd ever want here. It's the lifestyle, the quality and quantity of work, the stupidity that is sometimes past as intelligence and worst of all, the dreadful feeling of feeling low. I ask God to help me get out of here EVERY SINGLE DAY, I won't even bother with a 2 weeks notice, I don't want any of your stupid food day let's wish so and so good bye. Can't wait to leave here, I feel like i have a noose around my neck and just waiting for the day when I can breath again.

Will make this simple.

I pay almost 1k a month after I pay the tax to a woman for one child. We have joint custody. The mother of my child lives with her parents in 1.6 million dollar home with HER parents. She got sick a year ago and has trouble walking, basically, she can't take care of my 9 year old child. Her parents are always traveling. For the past weeks, I've been doing something everyday for the both of them, errands, pickup/dropoff after school programs, etc... (stuff the mother is supposed to do with physical custody)
It's affecting my daughter
Do I have a good case to fight for my daughter to live with me? I would be willing to say I don't need support from the mother, but I would like my daughter to live with me. We both live in the same school district, so no changings for my daugther in school/friends, etc…

Question 1: Women plan as someone else mentioned in another post. Also, it's very important that we don't act out of the ordinary at all. We dont suddenly start having sex or initiating, we simply act normal. This could be the reason men don't suspect anything??

#2. Men don't think before they act. When I suspected my husband was up to something I put keylogger on our system. I make sure nothing can be traced at home and I do my business from the office.

#3. Hubby has no idea as I do most everything while at the office or in the evenings when he's not around.

#4. I think he would stay for the children, and I also don't believe he couldn't survive on his own.

#5. Of course I would not confess! Most women wouldnt....we don't get nervous like men and spill the beans.
Okay ladies, according to statistics women cheat just as much as men (see below). My questions for you are:
How are women much better at hiding an affair than men are? What mistakes do you feel men make when cheating which women dont? Do you think your husband has any idea you have been with someone else? What is the secret to not getting caught? Do you think your husband would want a divorce if he caught you? Would you ever admit being with someone else if your husband asked you directly w/no evidence?
I apologise for all of the questions but I have been surprised by all of the info I've obtained. Apparently women if smart rarely get caught and there's reasons... Thanks

Recent studies reveal that 45-60% of married women and 50-70% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their relationship (Atwood & Schwartz, 2002 - Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy)

Interpreting the Data
In a new study, researchers from the University of Washington explored the recent increase in infidelity, and the changing makeup of the participants. A greater number of older men and younger women have reported being unfaithful than in earlier studies. However, historically, gauging responses in scientific studies of sensitive issues such as sexual behavior has proven to be a flawed science.

According to The New York Times, which cites the University of Washington’s research, the number of young women who report engaging in extramarital sex is not much lower than that of men. The study reports that 30 percent of men and 25 percent of women under the age of 35 have cheated on their spouses, up from 15 percent and 12 percent respectively.

For respondents over age 60, researchers found that 28 percent of men and 20 percent of women have had affairs, numbers that have also risen since 1991, when they were 20 percent and 5 percent respectively.

The rise in infidelity among older people has been attributed to drugs like Viagra and estrogen, and even hip replacements, which increase peoples’ sexual abilities, enabling them to be unfaithful. The ubiquity of pornography has also demonstrably affected individual attitudes about sex.

Perhaps the only thing that has changed about women’s faithfulness is researchers’ capacity to extract the truth. From an evolutionary perspective, Dr. Helen Fisher, a research professor of anthropology at Rutgers University, explains that there isn’t any proof of differences in infidelity rates between the genders in hunter gatherer societies. She believes the perceived disparity today may be culturally induced. Fisher explained, “Men want to think women don’t cheat, and women want men to think they don’t cheat, and therefore the sexes have been playing a little psychological game with each other.”

Terri Fisher of Ohio State University told the New Scientist, “We live in a culture that really does expect a different pattern of sexual behaviour from women than it does from men.”
Dalma Heyn a writer for Wowowow.com and author of "The Erotic Silence of the American Wife" cannot understand why people are still shocked to hear that women have affairs nearly as often as men:
"We remain in deep denial: Our belief that women are somehow innately, characterologically monogamous goes far deeper than we know."

Men want to believe they married a "good girl" and his spouse wants him to continue that belief.

I thinks it's funny how there are actually some retailers that tell their employees NOT to say Merry Christmas. They're allowed to say Happy Holidays only. However, these same retailers don't have any problem at all taking money from the people that are in their store buying CHRISTMAS gifts, Christmas lights, Christmas trees, Christmas cards, Christmas wrapping paper, etc. So when I went shopping this weekend, as I walked through the checkout line and removed things from my carriage, I said to the clerks, "Merry Christmas." The ones that responded with "Merry Christmas" or "You too," I completed the transaction. The ones that said, "um Happy Holidays," I just left the stuff on the counter and left. I had two of those. If you can't say "Merry Christmas" I sure as hell am not giving you ten cents worth of the money that I spend on CHRISTMAS gifts.

Good for you. If the retailers are going to take our money for x-mas stuff, the least they can do is let their people say 2 little words, Merry Christmas. It won't kill anyone. Don't listen to the idiot that's crying about you not acting like a christian, that's how this whole thing got so out of hand to begin with.

Sudbury townhouse condo (2bd, 2.5 bath + garage) is 10K higher than Holliston. Which town is more desirable or... rather, where would you live and why? I visited both places today. I saw better cars in Sudbury but Holliston had a more quiet/peaceful/rural feel to it. I am not sure if Sudbury is worth the extra 10K. Thoughts?

Your Questions Answered:

How are women much better at hiding an affair than men are? We think, we plan, we cover all angles, and we know enough to not alter our behavior. We also sometimes recruit our girlfriends to help and cover for us.

What mistakes do you feel men make when cheating which women dont? They rush rush rush and think with their penis, thus mistakes are made.

Do you think your husband has any idea you have been with someone else? LOL Are you kidding me?

What is the secret to not getting caught? See above

Do you think your husband would want a divorce if he caught you? I think he'd die of shock

Would you ever admit being with someone else if your husband asked you directly w/no evidence? Never confess anything!
