The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for partnering with employees and managers to provide coaching and consultation in the areas of employee relations and performance management as well as serve as the primary contact for all personnel-related inquiries on a day-to-day basis.  <br>

This position will be responsible for new hire and exit administration, benefit programs, new hire orientation, HRIS data entry and coaching employees on policies and procedures.  <br>

This position supports the HR team, performing various administrative and project based tasks.<br>
<br>
Job Responsibilities:<br>
	Maintain and develop strong business partnerships within the organization.<br>
	Manage employee relations, performance management and other related Generalist activities for Chelmsford site.<br>
	Acts as primary go-to person for employee benefit concerns and/or changes.<br>
	Administers Human Resources policies and programs to ensure compliance to company guidelines and to ensure regulatory compliance.<br>
	Administers new hire orientation and benefits programs; health, dental, vision, FSA, disability and COBRA to ensure employees are accurately enrolled with carriers within allowed time periods. <br>
	Administers and coordinates leave of absences (FMLA, LOA, STD and LTD).<br>
	Enter all employee information (new hires, changes, terminations, etc) into HRIS system in an accurate and timely manner.<br>
	Conducts exit interviews and maintains attrition reports.<br>
	Participates in recruiting process as needed.<br>
	Prepare, maintain, and audit employee personnel files and associated paperwork to ensure compliance.<br>
	General administration support for the department cross-site.<br>
	Other special HR projects and administrative duties as needed.<br>
<br>
Job Requirements:<br>
	2+  years work experience with general HR experience and some knowledge of benefits.<br>
	2+ years experience in employee relations.<br>
	PC skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS systems required<br>

 Determine benefit amounts available to participants and forward correspondence to participants.<br>

 Initiate stop payments, voids, and replacement checks.<br>
 Review and process legally required benefits and information on benefits- for example, subpoenas, QDROs, court orders, etc.- assist attorneys with calculating annuity amounts<br>
 Calculate member and alternate payee balances in accordance with approved order for input into member databases.<br>
 Maintain accurate files for all participants including current information, beneficiaries and any transactions with their account.<br>
 Provide secretarial support to the department manager as needed.<br>
 Prepare and review weekly and monthly edits.<br>
 Review and verify the accuracy of work performed by associates within the department.<br>
 Reconcile weekly and monthly edit totals to member database.<br>
 Prepare monthly report of hours for the Board of Trustees report<br>
 Keypunch Pension and Annuity beneficiary cards.<br>
 Process and forward loan applications to the Bank for issuance of checks <br>
 Perform various general office duties<br>
 Cover reception desk as needed<br>

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE <br>

	Offers advice, guidance and service in improving work performance and assist in training and development needs.<br>

Requirements:<br>
	BS/BA or MS<br>
	Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a huge plus!<br>
	3 to 5 years experience as an HR Generalist.<br>
	Experience with multi-state payroll.<br>
	3+ years supervisory or management experience.<br>
	Strong knowledge base and experience in federal and state employment, labor and wage and hour laws. <br>
	Ability to see the big picture business perspective, but is willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done. <br>
	Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills. <br>
	Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously.<br>
	Minimum of Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.<br>
