Position Summary:   The US Retail Financial Analyst will report to the Retail Controlling Manager and will be responsible for retail accounting, banking, cash handling/reconciliation, key retail performance analytics, store profitability and expense control analysis.<br>

Essential Functions:  The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:<br>
<br>
	Provide accurate financial month-end reporting to accounting, including inventory, sales and returns, and bank detail reporting.<br>
	Process and import accurate month-end journal entries into SAP.  Journal entries include retail sales, cost of sales, inventory shrink accrual, percentage rent accrual and month-end operating expense accrual.  Upload monthly P&L detail from SAP and distribute to internal and retail field personnel.<br>
	Prepare the month-end financial reporting package for Retail Controller for use on the monthly financial call with the company executives and board.<br>
	Research and communicate changes in operating expense on a monthly-to-date, year-to-date, versus last year and quarterly basis.<br>
	Maintain close relationships between the Companys merchant services provider, third party banking partners, and third party transaction processors and the retail corporate, field, and store organization.  Responsibilities include researching and resolving any issues relating to credit card chargeback and retrievals, as well as resolving direct customer charge disputes.  Candidate will also monitor daily store batch out compliance and follow-up with daily batch-out processing.<br>
	Review, verify and process monthly retail store rent package, including base rent, percentage rent, CAM, insurance, storage and lease required advertising and promotional expense.  <br>
	Verify and report monthly sales results to landlord as required by existing lease agreements and work directly with landlord to resolve any variances.<br>
	Support Retail stores regarding sales transaction tender questions/issues and analysis.  Act as the primary liaison between store and corporate finance as it relates to communicating any issues regarding retail finance.<br>
	Share invoice processing responsibilities within the retail finance department including coding invoices to the appropriate cost center/general ledger account and verifying the accuracy of retail invoices.  Compare actual invoice expense versus PO request and research variances when necessary.<br>
	Audit expense reports, verifying approvals and submitting to AP for processing.<br>
	Participate in the retail budget planning and forecasting process and provide analytical support as necessary, particularly as it relates to operating expense.<br>
	Develop and maintain cash control reporting.<br>
	Implement daily bank reconciliation procedures with on-line banking access.  <br>
	Maintain and develop various reports within Retail Pro Point-of-Sale system.  Provide financial reports and support as requested to retail finance group, PNA accounting department, and Company auditors as necessary.<br>
	Calculate and analyze key performance indicators (KPI) on a weekly and monthly basis.<br>
	Partner with Store operations for New Store openings and ongoing store Profit/Loss analysis.<br>
	Provide monthly market research requests on retail industry trends using various media sources.  Secondary responsibilities will include acting as a backup for all daily retail sales, fiscal sales, and retail comp reporting as necessary.<br>

Qualifications:	<br>
	B.S. in Accounting, Finance, or Business.  A general understanding of retail finance is helpful.<br>
	1-3 years experience in a retail home office or banking position.<br>
