The Content Editor will support the Managing Editors in the creation and management of the proprietary content products being offered to the corporate, government and academic markets.<br>

Responsibilities will include:<br>

• Develop and/use a proprietary content management system to manage the report workflow <br>
• Recruit and manage contract writers <br>
• Edit inbound reports, communicate changes and requirements to contract writers <br>
• Utilize Sharepoint and other intranet applications as needed <br>
• Support sales and marketing as needed <br>
• Present products internally and externally <br>

A Bachelors degree is required.  Solid experience with MS Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and Access is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Solid writing skills are needed in this position.  Previous experience as an editor is strongly preferred. Previous experience managing a large group of contract writers is strongly preferred. The ability to work with Sharepoint application would be helpful.  <br>

Periodic travel may be required.<br>

The Comprehensive Subject Index (CSI) Editorial Assistant works with the CSI staff on projects to improve the quality of EBSCO Publishing’s (EP) controlled vocabulary. The goal of these projects is to improve the quality of searching based upon headings and to achieve uniqueness, consistency and quality. Responsibilities include: • Review headings identified as being possible duplicates. • Search EP products for articles related to a new heading. • Review headings identified as being misapplied. • Investigate the source articles, abstracts and online resources to determine the correct heading(s) and update the EP database. <br>

Qualifications include a college degree in English, or related discipline. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access, and a high level of comfort using the Internet as a research tool. We are looking for someone with an advanced vocabulary and a love of language and words. The CSI Editorial Assistant must be detail-oriented, able to problem-solve, have strong communication skills and good data entry/typing skills.<br>
