Contract Web Site Designer / Project Manager
We currently have an opening for an experienced web designer / developer with strong project management and customer service experience.
This is a growth position with a small, growing company in a strong, supportive eam environment.
This position is for a self-starter who lives in the Greater Boston / Boston North Area, and is interested in taking on a steady stream of client projects.
Occasional meetings and work from our Wakefield office, as well as client meetings in the Greater Boston area are required.
Beyond that there is a high degree of flexibility for you to work from your home office, making it the perfect opportunity for someone who needs a stable income,
yet with some flexibility in his or her schedule. No selling is required, but you must be able to manage the entire client development process,
including gathering of content and client interaction.
The ideal candidate has a strong mix of front-end design skills, and back-end skills, combined with solid project management, and customer service experience.
Not all of the skills mentioned below are required, but strengths in some areas should compensate for weaknesses in others.
Design Skills
· HTML
· CSS
· Photoshop
· Dreamweaver
· Flash
· Actionscript
· JavaScript
· Graphic design
· Artistic training or natural ability
· Illustrator or Freehand
· Strong mastery of the English Language, grammar, punctuation, writing skills
Other Skills
· iPhone and cross-browser development skills
· ASP and/or PHP
· MySQL
· WordPress
· E-commerce experience
· Search engine optimization – natural & sponsored ad
· Networking / DNS / web server / e-mail server / Troubleshooting
Project Management / Customer Service Skills
· Experience managing both large and small projects
· Multi-tasking
· Thinking-outside-the-box approach to problem solving
· Strong customer advocacy skills
· Ability to listen, understand and implement client requests
· Managing other developers, schedules, budgets, deliverables
