Our client, a large financial services organization in Burlington, is looking for an IT Specialist to join their 25+ person IT Division. The overall function of this position will involve day-to-day end user support and troubleshooting, desktop projects, organization and planning.
Primary duties of the position:
- Maintenance of software and hardware
- Utilizing ticketing system on a daily basis
- Active Directory user management and group policies
- Communication with internal staff re: software updates and hardware upgrades
- Working with IT team to provide feedback on design and implementation ideas
- Supporting Microsoft applications
- System installations
Requirements:
- At least 2 yrs of professional IT experience
- MUST have hands on work experience (contract or project based) in the past 3 months
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for desktop Windows 2000/2003/XP
- Experience using Ghost 7.5
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent time management skills
